A witness in West Brownsville, Pennsylvania, reported spotting a UFO "overtake two military jets" flying in formation. Yet, all three craft did not make any sound that could be heard.

The Pennsylvania sighting occurred on April 7, 2013, at about 9:30 PM, when the witness got out of their car at home, after returning from work.

The unnamed witness told the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) that they looked up at the sky to observe the stars when they spotted two "jets flying side by side." 

The witness assumed that the aircraft were military because they were flying in a tight formation, estimated to be about "10 plane widths apart."

Oddly, the witness could not hear the jets, which are usually quite loud. The two craft were not too far away based on the witness' estimation of the jets' wing lights being about width of their index finger at arms' length.

At the same time, the witness noticed a "bright, white object overtake them from the east at a very high rate of speed. "

The witness first thought that the object was a helicopter flying at a lower altitude and thus only appeared to over take the jets that were flying at a more distant and higher altitude.

However, the object approaching was in close proximity to the two jets.  The witness described what happened next. 

"As the object arrived at the wake of the jet on the right it made a sudden right angle turn to the left changed color to a pink or light red and crossed the wake of the jet on the left and went south at tremendous speed."

The object then disappeared over the witnesses' view horizon "in less than a second."

As the witness thought about what they saw, it made less sense to them. The object's sudden right angle turn and "tremendous speed" made them realize that what they saw the object do is aerodynamically impossible with conventional aircraft.

As the witness later considered the UFO, they felt a sense of "eeriness" about what they saw.

I was exiting my vehicle at my house after work at 9:33 pm April 17,2013. I looked up at the night sky to observe the stars. I observed two jet flying side by side, they had to be military because they were close together. My estimation was 10 plane widths apart, traveling west and I heard no sound. The wing lights were about the width of my index finger at arms length. At the same time I noticed a bright white object overtake them from the east at a very high rate of speed. My first impression was that it was a light from a helicopter flying at a much lower altitude which would explain the difference in perceived speed. At this time no sound was heard. As the object arrived at the wake of the jet on the right it made a sudden right angle turn to the left changed color to a pink or light red and crossed the wake of the jet on the left and went south at tremendous speed. It was gone from my field of vision in less than a second, the surrounding houses and trees made it impossible for me to see it disappear over the southern horizon. At first I didnt realize what I had just witnessed, only after I played it over in my mind did I realize this object did things that werent possible. It made that right angle turn instantly without slowing and increased in speed after the direction change. During the event I was without emotion, it as only after it was over did I have a feeling of eeriness.
