A small light orb was seen hovering over a home in Adams County, Mississippi, on the night of April 15, 2013.

The witness was walking on their driveway at 10PM when they spotted a golf ball size "very bright gold glowing" orb over their house, according to a report filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

The witness reported that they saw the small orb "slowly rise up about 25 feet from the ground" pause for about two minutes before drifting to the west.

The witness was standing about 30 feet from the object, which they initially thought was an insect, but then realized was something else.

The orb travelled approximately 40 feet, then "blinked about three times" and vanished.

The witness reported that they saw a similar object as a child. In that incident, the orb hovered about 10 feet off the ground for a "few minutes" before it "shot off upwards into the sky really fast."

The weather in the area was fair at the time of the reported Monday sighting, diminishing the chance that the orb was a form of ball lightning.

I walked out my front door around 10pm. Walked down driveway and turned around at the house and witnessed a golfball shape in size very bright gold glowing like orb over my house. Slowly rose up about 25 ft from the ground. It paused for about 2 minutes and took a path west very slowly. I thought it was somekind of bug but I knew it wasnt. I was about 30ft from the orb. It traveled about 40 feet on a northwestern pattern, it blinked about 3 times then it dissapeared. I seen the same situation happen when I was a child. But the orb was only 10ft above the ground. It sat there for a few minutes then shot off upwards into the sky really fast.
