• UFO sightings spike in Laredo

    Residents of the south Texas border town, Laredo, have been spotting unidentified light orbs for years. Several sightings were reported at the end of 2012, with some videos of the lights going viral.

    A local citizen's group, the Laredo Paranormal Research Society claim to have documented over two dozen sightings. 

    The repeated sightings have also drawn the attention of skeptics who resort to a default explanation of secret tests of "military stealth technology."

  • New report of "huge" UFO "monstrosity" over Detroit

    A new eyewitness report has surfaced about a set of widely reported triangle UFOs that flew over the Detroit area in January.

    The strange lights and craft made news headlines (see below) when Facebook and other internet buzz over the UFOs surged during the second week of the year.

    The new account submitted to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) offers an explicit description of the UFOs as they flew over the "alarmed" witness.

  • DragonX splashdown

    The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean at 12:36 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, a few hundred miles west of Baja California, Mexico.

    The Dragon returned from the International Space Station with garbage, food production experiments and fluid samples from the crew members to help study the effects if long term space travel on humans.

    The samples returned frozen as planned. In a previous mission, the freezer unit failed during its return to earth.

  • Witnesses drive 100 feet under triangle UFO in North Carolina

    Witnesses in North Carolina reportedly drove to within 100 feet of a well lit, triangle shape UFO at midnight on March 26, 2013.

    The reporting witness told the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) that they were traveling north on highway 211, in West End, NC, when the passengers and driver spotted a  "row of white lights with a red flashing light beneath them."

    They continued to drive until they were within 100 feet of the low flying object.

  • UFO sighting reports settle down in 2013

    Reported UFO sighting across the United States have decreased in 2013 after peaking last July, according  to two major UFO reporting organizations.

    Both the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) reported a spike in sightings reports in July of 2012.  MUFON received 850 domestic reports in July, up from 625 reports in June, according to MUFON Executive Director David MacDonald.

    "The second half of 2012 included about a 10 percent monthly increase over the first half of the year," said MacDonald, "and that trend stayed in place until February 2013.

  • Busy week on space station- Dragon departs while new crew to arrive

    Science was the main focus aboard the International Space Station while preparations continued for the Dragon spacecraft release, now set for Tuesday, and Thursday’s launch and docking of three new Expedition 35 crew members. After their lunch hour, the current Expedition 35 trio conducted an emergency drill simulating a pressure loss.

  • Malta police officer shoots alleged UFO image

    A police officer in Malta photographed what appears to be a UFO over the city of Marsaxlokk on the evening of March 19, 2013.

    The officer did not notice the the mysterious craft until afterward, while reviewing the photograph he took with his cell phone. The officer immediately brought it to a photo expert, identified as William Attard M.

    Attard submitted the photo on behalf of the police officer to UFO Casebook  and added some filtered images to help reveal the flying object.

    A train passenger bound west for Kansas City, Missouri, reported observing 12 large, bright objects flying in changing formation on the afternoon of March 18, 2013.

  • UFO flies across field and close to witness in Wisconsin

    A "refrigerator size" UFO reportedly flew across a field and close by a witness in Dousman, Wisconsin, near midnight on March 19, 2013.

    The unnamed witness told the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) that they were driving home on Highway 18 from visiting friends in Waukesha at 11:50 PM when they noticed a light coming toward them in a field along side the road.

    NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has seen evidence of water-bearing minerals in rocks near where it had already found clay minerals inside a drilled rock.

    Last week, the rover's science team announced that analysis of powder from a drilled mudstone rock on Mars indicates past environmental conditions that were favorable for microbial life.   • Unusual craft reported overnight in Ocala, Florida

    Residents of Ocala, Florida, have reported spotting a UFO in the early morning hours of March 18, 2013.

    WKMG television news in Orlando reports that the object(s) were described by witnesses as resembling military style aircraft.

    The aircraft were said to look like a group of helicopters flying in formation with a large plane.

    Which is what it may have been.

    A husband and wife in Pennsylvania reported seeing an object descend rapidly in the sky, stop and fly off in a different direction on the late afternoon of March 12, 2013.

  • Mysterious blue light over Scotland still mystifies

    News continues to surface about a mysterious blue light that appeared over the skies of Berwickshire, Scotland last month.

    A local resident has come forward with photographs that he took of the light that appeared on February 1, 2013.

    Paul Taylor was driving home from Berwick to Duns, when snapped the images.

    He noticed the strange light when he was reviewing his images on a computer a week later.

    Two witnesses in Virginia Beach, VA, report seeing a strange and silent "bright orange light" flying over a field on the night of March 1, 2013.
